About Us
Hummingbird Community Outreach (HCO) is a 501(c) (3) youth-led nonprofit dedicated to amplifying youth voices on social and health issues. Although small, hummingbirds are independent and agile. Just like how hummingbirds fly from flower to flower, our organization hopes to foster and promote change from one community to another. Please check our news.
Hummingbird Community Outreach’s motto consists of 3 verbs: “Serve,” “Advocate,” and “Grow.”
Serve
Our organization provides community service opportunities across multiple fields, allowing members to discover their passions and identify social, health, or environmental issues they care about.
Advocate
Members then find ways to address the issues they’re passionate about improving. They first do this by researching, educating, and bringing awareness to these topics. Whether through hosting conferences, educational forums, or even working with legislators to advocate for policy changes, members learn how to advocate with the support of Hummingbird Community Outreach.
Grow
Our youth leaders improve the community one step at a time, all contributing to the growth and development of both individual leaders and the general public.
